Recertify

BCD clinicians may recertify interactively on the website at RECERTIFY LOG IN (click here). ABE notifies you when annual recertification ($115) is due; late fees are $20. If you need paper recertification forms, or if you need advice, contact dlq@abecsw.org. Annual recertification sends a clear message to employers, referral-makers, and payor systems; it is a big part of what makes the BCD the “gold standard” among mental healthcare certifications.

Annual recertification is based on currency of practice, state licensure in good standing, adherence to ABE's Code of Ethics, and continuing education (view Recertification Standard for Continuing Education), all affirmed annually and subject to audit.

Important: BCD Online Services are best viewed using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher. Earlier versions of Internet Explorer or different browsers (Netscape, Mosaic, etc.) may affect functionality. For best viewing of the screens, be sure to set your text size to medium.
