Judith Holm Memorial Student Awards Program

The American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work (ABE) offers cash awards to second-year master's students who can demonstrate excellence in preparation for clinical social work practice. Competitors submit papers based on clinical work done in their most recent field placement or practicum.

The late Judith Holm, MSS, BCD, of Cleveland, Ohio, for whom the Awards are named, had a keen interest in clinical education at the graduate level. Judith was the first president of ABE, the sponsor of the Awards and the national board-certification organization for advanced-practice clinical social workers.

A national panel of educators and advanced practitioners selects the winners. Competition guidelines for this year's program will be made available in September 2008. At the commencement of the program, the link will be posted here.
